I am professor of Physics at the University of San Francisco and a Faculty Affiliate at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. My research focuses on observational and computational cosmology, particularly using strong gravitational lensing to study dark matter and dark energy. My team applies ML/AI and "classical" techniques to identify strong lensing systems in the DESI imaging survey and the DESI spectroscopic dataset. I also lead several Hubble Space Telescope programs to discover and model strong lenses.
